The Bonar Institute is an Ottawa, Ontario, based professional services organization that is dedicated to promoting the highest standards of excellence in corporate leadership. We specialize in providing guidance and advisory services to senior executives at the CEO, VP and Senior Director levels, and entrepreneurs, both nationally and internationally.

Executive Coaching
We have particular insight into the human dynamics underlying practical business situations; we assist leaders to see beyond the ordinary, to identify new possibilities, and to embrace the potential for the extraordinary.
Leadership Development and Training
This innovative and interactive program comprises five modules in a fast-paced, exciting three-day workshop. It is based on 30 years of research and development in biology, psychology and sociology. Training experts and consultants offer a custom-tailored learning experience in a safe, relaxed and confidential environment.
Business Strategies and Leadership Risk Mitigation
We have a successful track record of helping to strengthen and reposition organizations that are facing serious and complex issues ranging from the ongoing viability of their companies, to changing corporate culture, to successful succession planning and executive renewal. We also help companies prepare for a future that is largely unknown.

We also accept senior interim management assignments.

Decisions of this nature are generally taken on a case by case basis. Our services are generally delivered in person, by phone, or video conference; often times, a hybrid model is used to provide the most convenient and meaningful service to our customers.

Communication Inquiries

We are always glad to hear from our clients! We have tried to make it as easy and convenient do that. You can use our website contact form, give us a call, email the founder and principle, or send us a letter. All the information you need can be found by clicking here.

You can unsubscribe by doing one of three things:
  1. By opening the email, scrolling to the bottom and clicking unsubscribe.
  2. By navigating to the About Us page, opening the Communication Options menu and clicking on the link located there.

Yes We do. They can be found by navigating to the About Us page and opening the Communication Options menu and clicking on the link located there.
Yes you can. This can be done by navigating to the Appointments page and following the instructions to book your appointment(s) online.

Payment Inquiries

No we do not. Our pricing is determined on a case by case basis depending on the specific programs and packages selected by a given client.

When you received the invoice email, you should have also received a separate email inviting you to join our Client Portal. If you are missing one or both of those emails, please let us know.

When you receive the registration email, it will read as follows:
If you do not see this email, be sure to check your spam folder. Once you open the email click "Accept Invitation". You will be directed to a page that looks like this:
Just enter the password you would like to use. Confirm it. Click "Update" and you are good to go.

Note: While the portal it self is provided in English and French, the login page is English only. We apologize for the inconvenience.

To select the language you would like, simply let us know. The language of Client Portal is set, by default, to the language that is used in your dealings with the Bonar Institute.

Need more information?  

Yes you can pay with a cheque. Simply make the cheque out to Bonar Institute for Purposeful Leadership and mail it to us. See above for more information, or check you invoice for the address.

Yes we do. You can pay for our services with Visa or MasterCard through our Client Portal, or provide us the card information or over the phone.

When you are sent your invoice the email will look like this:

Once your are in the email click the link called "Click here to view Invoice" and it will take you to a page that looks like the image below, if you are signed into our Client Portal. (If you are not signed in, you will be taken to the sign-in page).

A registration email for the Client Portal is sent concurrently with the invoice as part of the invoicing process. (If you can't find the email, check your spam folder). In the event that you have not accepted your invitation to the portal yet, please do so.
Once you are signed into the client portal, you will see a page that looks like the:


Click "Pay Now." Enter your credit card information and confirm your billing address.

Note: The name you provide must match the one that is on the credit card.
